Bringing people together in Amersham
We are launching a new Support Hub in Amersham this March, creating a welcoming space for people in Buckinghamshire who are living with a life-limiting illness or are frail due to age.
The Support Hub gives people the chance to connect with others in similar situations, while learning more about the local support available to them.
The Amersham Hub also welcomes loved ones and carers. It is the first of several new hubs planned across Buckinghamshire and forms an important part of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care’s commitment to supporting people living with serious illness in the community.
It feels nice to be out and amongst people who understand. There are people from Rennie Grove Peace there too, so I know I can chat with them, and they can put me in touch with other types of local support if I need it.
When and where
The first session will take place on Monday 16 March 2026, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, at the Chilterns Lifestyle Centre.
The Hub will then run on the third Monday of every month.
What to expect
Support Hubs offer a warm, drop-in environment focused on friendly conversation, peer support and gentle wellbeing activities. These may include chair-based exercise, art collage, flower arranging and talks on topics such as nutrition.
Sessions are free to attend, and people are welcome to come on their own or with family, friends or carers.
Members of the Rennie Grove Peace team will also be there to offer guidance on the practical and emotional support available locally.
Our new Amersham Support Hub is all about bringing people together. We want anyone facing a life-limiting illness or who is frail due to age to feel understood, connected and supported. By creating a space where people can meet others on a similar journey, we hope to offer a real sense of connection and community.
Who the Support Hub is for
The Support Hub is open to people living with a life-limiting illness or who are frail due to age, including those with Parkinson’s, mild dementia, progressive respiratory or neurological conditions, incurable cancer and heart failure.
