Whether you choose the 1.5km or 5km route, you’ll enjoy a jolly journey through the city streets, starting at the Waterend Barn pub on St Peter’s Street. Perfect for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, this joyful event is a fantastic way to spread holiday cheer while supporting Rennie Grove Peace.

Rudolph Run 2025: dash, donate and make a difference
By participating in the Rudolph Run 2025, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing care during their most vulnerable moments.
We are asking all our supporters to raise £108 per person for this event. £108 can provide two hours of overnight care, whether in our inpatient unit or in a patient’s home, offering vital support and comfort throughout the night. This ensures that no one feels alone, even during the darkest hours.
Your involvement in this festive event helps bring hope and compassion to individuals and families when they need it most.

When and where
The Rudolph Run takes place in St Albans City Centre, the start and end point is Waterend Barn, St Peter’s St, St Albans AL1 3LE.
The Rudolph Run takes place on Sunday 7 December 2025. Start times will be confirmed nearer to the event.
We offer two routes, a 1.5k fun run or a 5k run – both routes are on pavements. Marshalls are stationed across the route to direct people and offer any assistance if needed.
Signing up and sponsorship
The Rudolph Run is open to all ages and abilities.
Any runner under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian aged 18 or older on the day.

The event is a sponsored charity fundraiser and by taking part we ask you to commit to raising £108 per person. £108 could cover the cost of 3 hours of care from a member of our overnight team, in our inpatient unit or within a patient’s home, to provide care and support at any time of the night, ensuring nobody feels alone.
We recommend that you set up an online donation page using JustGiving. It is easy to do, and you can share your page link with friends, family and colleagues via email or social media. The funds you raise come straight to Rennie Grove Peace. If you prefer to fundraise offline, we provide a downloadable link to a sponsor form for you to share too. YES! The more festive the better!! We love to see all the different Christmas costumes people wear on the Rudolph Run so feel free to get dressed up and give us a wave as you go past!
