New Compassionate Café and Compassionate Support Hub coming in September!
We are thrilled to be extending our Compassionate Communities programme into Abbots Langley from September 2024! We will be launching a new Compassionate Café on 4 September and a new Compassionate Support Hub on 30 September.
These two new initiatives are backed by the local GPs and the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board.
What is a Compassionate Café and Compassionate Support Hub?
The Compassionate Café is a safe place for anyone who has been affected by bereavement or any type of loss to come together for a friendly chat and a chance to meet others. While the Compassionate Support Hub is a place for anyone who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or their carer to come together for a cuppa and a friendly chat, meet people who understand how you might be feeling, discover what support is available, and join in with one of our wellbeing activities.
On Friday 19 July, the team will be at Henderson hub to let people know about this Café and Hub, along with details about our Compassionate Neighbours programme which helps people on 1:1 basis, other Rennie Grove Peace services, our upcoming events, and ways you can support us.
Attend our Pop Up event – 19 July
Our Compassionate Communities team are running information event on Friday 19 July from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Henderson Hub, Abbots Langley, to chat to local people about the Café and Hub. They will be there to answer any questions and help you understand a little more about why you might benefit from attending, and whether any local residents would like to volunteer at either.
