Strictly Come Hospice - meet the team!
Meet the professionals
Chris Scott and Niamh Creedon-Wilkes
The professional dancers who will be teaching our contestants over three months are Chris and his dance partner, Niamh. Chris and Niamh started dancing together 14 years ago at Moonglow Studios in Watford. Over the years they have competed in many competitions, danced at Winter Gardens and performed on stage for numerous occasions (Glen Miller band, Music videos, and several other charity events). They primarily teach ballroom & Latin, salsa, and Argentine tango.
Meet the judges
Karen Pawlowska
Karen is an experienced teacher in both Latin and ballroom dance, and is a fully qualified Associate with the International Dance Teachers Association. She has been teaching dance for over 30 years, in which time she has taught many celebrities and television actors for their dance debuts on-screen performance and has choreographed special dance occasions including flash dances, wedding first dances, tea dances and special anniversaries.
Thirty years on from first trying out dance for herself, Karen continues to love to help people to find pleasure in dance, both through learning to move in time to music either solo or with a partner, and developing social and caring friendships with like-minded people.
Marcie Reid
Marcie Reid is a 29-year-old beauty queen who was born and raised in Hertfordshire and is the current Miss Hertfordshire 2024.
Marcie is no stranger to dance, having grown up doing ballet, tap and jazz! An avid volunteer and fundraiser, Marcie is so excited to judge the Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Strictly. She’s looking for the duo who lights up the room and raises the most money and awareness for Rennie Grove Peace!
Yvonne Taylor Hill
Yvonne started her dancing career at the age of four, firstly in ballet and then ballroom and Latin American. She has been Principal of her own dancing school in Amersham, for over 50 years where she teaches and coaches beginners, medallists, and professionals of all levels in ballroom, Latin American, disco/freestyle, rock ‘n’ roll and classical ballet.
A Fellowship Examiner and Championship adjudicator, she has successfully promoted every dance genre through examining, adjudicating and lecturing in the UK and internationally, including several countries in Asia. Her dedication has been recognised by receiving two Carl Alan Awards (Dancing Oscars). Rennie Grove Peace is very dear to Yvonne’s heart, and she is excited to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Hospice event.
