Care at home

We bring your care into your home, day and night, so you can be surrounded by people and things you love the most.

Care at home

“I am so grateful for the wonderful care, compassion, kindness and reassurance given to my husband and I by every one of the lovely nurses and healthcare assistants coming into our house.”

When home is where you want to be

First, you will have a chat with one of our specialist nurses, where you can talk through your symptoms and any concerns you may have. We will then work together with you, and those close to you, to create a care plan that ensures all your needs are met at home – physical, emotional, practical and spiritual.

We are here for you day and night

As well as scheduled visits to your home (or care home) in the day, you can call us at night for advice or a visit if you need us. We are just a phone call away to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

“We called the Rennie Grove Peace Overnight Team because Dad sounded uncomfortable, and we were worried about him.  They came immediately, assessed him and increased his medication, making him comfortable so he could rest again.”

We provide personal care, such as washing and dressing

When you are close to the end of your life, our team in the Hertfordshire area can provide daily help with personal care such as washing and dressing, to help make you comfortable.  We will also support those close to you.

“Having the nurses and healthcare assistants there meant my daughters were shielded from the physical side of care.  They could do all the nice things with Mick and just be there as company and support.”

End of life care

We will support you at the end of your life, ensuring you feel safe and supported at all times. While we will manage your pain and symptoms, we recognise that emotional and spiritual support can be just as important as physical care.  We will make sure that in your last days, you can focus on what matters most to you, whether that be spending time with loved ones, doing an activity that you enjoy, or seeking spiritual support.

“Without the care and support from Rennie Grove Peace, Gyongyi wouldn’t have been able to die in her own bed in our lovely woodland home - a place she felt comfortable and happy.”

“Being at home in his last few weeks meant everything to Dad. We were able to all spend his last Christmas together as a family and he was there for my brother's birthday - two days when we know he was incredibly happy”
