Our response to the announcement of additional government funding for hospices

Additional support for the hospice sector announced!

Responding to today’s announcement by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care of additional support for the hospice sector, our chief executive, Stewart Montgomery-Marks, said:

“I am delighted to hear about the £100m funding boost for hospice care in England that has been announced today. The hospice sector, led by Hospice UK, has campaigned hard to secure sustainable funding and it’s great to see this news.

“The financial pressures on the whole hospice sector have been well documented in recent years and this investment will allow hospices to continue to deliver much needed support to palliative and end of life patients and those around them.

“For us, at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, this will enable us to continue to provide high quality care for people within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, when and where they need it.”
