Healthcare Assistant, Gemma has been part of our Rapid Personalised Care Service for two years. She provides an insight to a typical working day and explains how the service gives patients choice in their final weeks of life.
Gemma says:
“The service benefits patients by allowing them to make their own choice of where they would like to die, whether it being in our lovely Inpatient Unit, or in the comfort of their own home surrounded by their comforts.”
“My favourite thing about my role is fulfilling a patient’s final wish and providing comfort for the patient and their loved ones. I would recommend this job to anyone with a truly caring nature to help others.”
