The festive fun run included two routes – one 1.5km long and one 5km long. Both routes started outside the Waterend Barn pub where each runner picked up a pair of antlers to wear, kindly sponsored by Collinson Hall.
Following a warm-up led by local personal trainer, Kirsty, from Everyone Active, the first race, the 1.5km route, was started by Adam Ginder of M K Ginder and Sons Funeral Directors, who the rang the bell to send the runners on their way. At the end of the course, each runner was presented with their Rudolph Run medal.
Gemma Ralph, Community Fundraising Manager at Rennie Grove Peace, said:
“The Rudolph Run is a popular annual event that really kicks off our festive fundraising. It was wonderful to see so many local people and families enjoying this year’s event and marking the start of the festive season while raising funds to support the vital care we offer to people with life-limiting illnesses in our local community.
“I’d like to thank everybody who took part as well as our sponsors and Waterend Barn for letting us use the venue.”
