Our retail & trading team has taken delivery of a new van to support its work, thanks to a donation by the West Herts Charity Trust.
The Citroen Relay van will be used by our retail colleagues to distribute donations between our 34 High St shops and our retail & trading hub, in Berkhamsted. With our shop portfolio continuing to grow – including the opening of our new community superstore on Moneyhill Parade this month – the retail team needed an additional van and approached the West Herts Charity Trust to request a donation towards the cost.
The West Herts Charity Trust kindly made a significant donation that enabled us to purchase a new van and keep our retail operation moving. The new van was handed over by Richard Minashi and Michael Humphries at Grove House site in St Albans.
Richard Minashi, from West Herts Charity Trust, said:
“We are delighted to donate towards the cost of a new van for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. It’s a practical way that we can help a local hospice charity that provides such vital care within our community.”
Deborah Gould, Director of Retail & Trading at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, added:
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the West Herts Charity Trust for its support in helping us purchase a new van for our retail operation. With shops throughout Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, our van fleet really is crucial in keeping our shops trading. This donation will enable us to raise vital funds that are used to support local people who are living with a life-limiting illness.”
