Dashing through St Albans for a good cause this Christmas

The Rudolph Run returns this December!

Our annual festive fundraiser invites families, friends, and festive fanatics of all ages to don their antlers, pull on their brightest Christmas jumpers, and take part in a 1.5km or 5km fun run starting at the Waterend Barn on St Peter’s Street.

Tickets are on sale now at early bird prices of £10 for adults and £6 for children with family tickets available for £30 (up to 2 adults, 3 children). Early bird pricing is available until Sunday 2 November 2025, and every ticket includes a pair of antlers to wear on the day!  General online ticket sales end on Tuesday 2 December 2025.

Making every step count

Runners are being challenged to raise £99 which could fund three hours of care from a Rennie Grove Peace physiotherapist who works with patients to manage their symptoms and boost their quality of life through movement.  Anybody who raises over £99 will earn a limited-edition Rudolph Run running buff.

Angela Doran from St Albans will be taking part with 10 members of the walking netball group she runs, in memory of one of the group’s members who sadly died last year.

“After our friend, Alison, died last year a member of our walking netball group suggested organising a fundraising event in her memory to thank Rennie Grove Peace for caring for Ali at the end of her life.

Our walking netball group is made up of people ranging in age from 40 – 80 so we wanted to choose a fundraising event that would suit everybody and the Rudolph Run looked perfect!

It will be a great opportunity for us to get together, take part in an activity we will all enjoy and raise money for a great local cause in memory of our dear friend, Alison.”

“We’re looking forward to another great Rudolph Run with some exciting new additions including face painting on the day and fundraising incentives to encourage everybody to raise as much money as they can for local hospice care.

I’d like to thank Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden for being the headline sponsor of this year’s event and allowing us to make it the biggest one yet.”
