Join us on the iconic London Bridges Walk in 2026 and help raise vital funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

We are delighted to announce that the London Bridges Walk is back on Sunday 8 March 2026. This family-friendly walking challenge offers two different routes that both take in some of the capital’s most iconic bridges and landmarks. With five-mile and ten-mile routes available, there is a challenge to suit everybody.  We are encouraging everyone to aim to raise £266 in sponsorship, and bring not only your relatives and friends, but canine companions too!

Taking place on Sunday 8 March 2026, the two routes begin at the Pear Tree Café in Battersea Park. The five-mile route then takes in five famous London bridges, ending near to Parliament Square. The longer ten-mile route takes in no fewer than 12 bridges, ending with arguably the most recognisable one of all – Tower Bridge.

Whether you walk in memory of a loved one or to support the work of Rennie Grove Peace, each step counts. Your participation helps provide essential services, including Hospice at Home care, emotional support, and inpatient services to people within Bucks and Herts.

How your money helps –
Joy’s story

Joy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 77. In September 2025 Joy was referred to Rennie Grove Peace. Her daughter, Sharon, talks about her mum and the compassionate care she received. Sharon says:

“From the moment the Rennie Grove Peace team arrived, I knew Mum was in the best possible hands.”

“The team provided not just medical care but emotional support for the whole family, answering questions, explaining medications, and walking us through what to expect with warmth and kindness.”

“Because of Rennie Grove Peace, our memories of Mum’s final days are of love, peace, care, and kindness. Even when she could no longer speak clearly, she would sing jumbled words – and you could see the happiness in her eyes.”

“The hospice emotionally held us all and gave us a deeply felt sense of security and made Mum’s passing peaceful for all of us”

Joy’s final days were filled with dignity, music, and love—leaving her family with comforting memories that continue to help them through their grief.

We’re asking participants to aim to raise £266. This could help provide a day of specialist nursing care for someone like Sharon’s mum, Joy – providing medical, practical and emotional support to help them get the best out of every day while living with a progressive life-limiting illness.
Anybody who raises £532 – enough to fund two days of care – will receive a free event hoodie to wear with pride on the day

Fundraising

Your entry fees cover the cost of putting on the event. Any sponsorship you can raise goes directly towards patient care within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

It costs £266 for a specialist nurse to provide care, support, and symptom management to a patient for one day either in their own home, in our Inpatient Unit at Peace Hospice or in our Living Well centres.  If each walker taking part raises £266, together we can fund a specialist nurse for a year.

If you raise over £532  (equivalent to two days of care from a nurse specialist) you will receive an event hoodie. Those of you who have setup a Just Giving page will receive an email once you hit these milestones. If you raise money in another way, please email us to let us know on events@renniegrovepeace.org

We recommend that you set up an online donation page using JustGiving. It is easy to do, and you can share your page link with friends, family and colleagues via email or social media. The funds you raise come straight to Rennie Grove Peace.
