“As someone who spent a lot of time at the hospice in Watford over the last year, I know first hand how much all the money we raised will help.”

Tia, took part in our first Strictly Come Hospice in 2024/25.  Below she shares why she signed up to the event:

I just wanted to write a little message to express how amazing I have found this whole experience. One of the main reason it has been so incredible is thanks to you lovely lot.

I started the training at not a very good point having just lost my mum a few months prior. When I saw the opportunity to do Strictly Come Hospice it felt like a sign as me and my Mum would sit down every weekend and watch Strictly Come Dancing together for as long as I can remember.

As someone who spent a lot of time at the hospice in Watford over the last year, I know first hand how much all the money we raised will help.

Not only did they give my mum incredible care in her last months but after caring for my mum at home it gave me and my sisters a chance to be her daughters again knowing she was being well looked after. I cannot express how proud I am of us all knowing that the money we raised will help go towards helping other families maybe in similar circumstances.

Every day we have to raise £17,000 to fund vital hospice care within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.  By taking part in Strictly Come Hospice you can help us support more people like Tia and her family.
