Popular running events

Hertfordshire Half Marathon, Knebworth, Sunday 1 November

The start line is positioned at the historical Knebworth House for dramatic effect, and the half marathon route explores the beautiful gardens of Knebworth Park before leading runners out to the surrounding countryside. The Hertfordshire Half Marathon is a road-closed event which gives runners a rare opportunity to enjoy the roads all to themselves.

The cost of the event is £20, and we ask that you commit to raise £200 in sponsorship.  Our fundraising team will be on hand to support your fundraising, so please get in touch if you have any questions.

London Landmarks Half Marathon, Sunday 4 April 2027

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is one of the capital’s most vibrant and exciting running events – a truly unique experience through the heart of the city.

Charity runners will take on a closed-road 13.1-mile route through central London, passing many of the city’s most iconic landmarks. From Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament to St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, this unforgettable course showcases London’s rich history and culture at every turn.

The registration fee is £30 and we ask that you commit to raising a minimum of £350 in sponsorship. Our dedicated fundraising team will be there to support you every step of the way, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Brighton Marathon, Sunday 4th April 2027

brighton marathonBe part of #TeamRGPHC and take on the iconic Brighton Marathon – one of the UK’s most popular and scenic running events.

This 26.2-mile route takes you through the vibrant streets of Brighton and Hove, with stunning seaside views, incredible crowd support and an electric atmosphere from start to finish.

Paris Marathon, Sunday 11th April 2027

paris marathonThe Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is now one of the biggest marathons in the world and perfectly combines a personal challenge with the chance to discover one of the world’s greatest cities.

Race day will see runners pound the pavements of the French capital’s most famous avenues and plazas. Starting at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, and finishing with views of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower to guide you home.

The registration fee is £50 and we ask that you commit to raising a minimum of £600 in sponsorship. Our fundraising team will be on hand to support your fundraising, so please get in touch if you have any questions.

When and where

Run For Charity events are organised across the UK and give participants the chance to combine fitness with fundraising. These events range from fun runs and 5Ks to half and full marathons, so there’s something for everyone – whether you’re a beginner or an experienced runner. Every step you take helps raise vital funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.

Signing up and sponsorship

Your fundraising pledge will depend on your event. More information on fundraising targets can be found on each event page or you can contact us for more details.

We recommend that you set up an online donation page using Just Giving. It is easy to do and you can share your page link with friends, family and colleagues via email or social media. The funds you raise come straight to Rennie Grove Peace.
