Wondering what to do for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee? The long Bank Holiday weekend provides an ideal opportunity to mark the Queen’s 70 years of service.
At Rennie Grove we’re brimming with ideas to help you mark an historic occasion and raise vital funds for our work. Whether it’s fun for the family, friends or a community-wide celebration, we have an answer.
Gemma Ralph, Rennie Grove’s senior community fundraiser, explains the thinking behind our plans to put the fun into Jubilee-themed fundraising.
“We wanted to give people the tools and ideas to add a fundraising element to their Jubilee celebrations in their local community. Or to tackle their own personalised challenge during June.
“Whether they bake a cake, host a party or hold a quiz they’ll be bringing their community together while raising funds for local hospice care.
“We’ve added some child-friendly activities too, so families can have fun and prepare for the partying together over the half-term break and bank holidays.”
Our fundraising pack is crammed with fun, Jubilee-themed ideas and activities for all ages, designed to get everyone in the mood for the platinum party. It includes classic cake recipes, coronation-themed colouring, bunting templates and instructions, a regally inspired wordsearch and more.
You could organise a street party, a platinum-inspired dress-down day at work or school, asking those taking part to make a donation to Rennie Grove. Alternatively, you could pledge to raise £70 through a personalised 70-themed challenge.
Last, but by no means least, our downloadable Queen’s Jubilee Quiz pack provides you with 70 questions, allowing you to test your knowledge from the comfort of your own home.
