Strictly Come Hospice – Terms and Conditions

General 
  • Based on the hugely popular BBC competition Strictly Come Dancing, we will bring together 30/40 dancers to pair up from the local community to dance for one night only. The couples will both perform two dances each. (Dances TBC) taught by Chris Scoot and his dance partner over a number of weeks ahead of the grand finale. The winners will be decided by a combination of celebrity judges scores and a live audience vote.
Entry 
  • Strictly Come Hospice is open to adults over 18 to dance in the show and all ages to be audience members.
  • Registration to become a dancer in the event will be open until midnight on 30th August 2024 and tickets to be an audience member will be on sale until the venue is sold out.
  • Each dancer pledges to raise a minimum of £600 and sell at least 5 tickets for the live final
  • If you have not joined as a pair, we will pair you up with another unexperienced dancer. This could be of any sex.
  • Each dancer would need to commit to at least 10 weeks of dance training and be available for the live final on Friday 24th January 2025
  • If a dancer is rude/unpleasant we may ask you to leave the competition, Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care decision is final.
  • We hope to get a number of costumes donated through our charity shops, but costume and shoes will be the responsibility of the participant.
  • You must be able to commit to performing in the grand final on Friday 24th January 2025
  • You must be able to commit to a one to two hour rehearsal for 10 weeks every Sunday from October 2024 dates are TBC but this could be 2 sessions in Oct, 4 sessions in Nov, 2 in Dec and then 2 sessions in Jan? It’s really important that you attend these rehearsals with your dance partner.

  • Please note that by entering this event and accepting these Terms and Conditions you give us permission to contact you for the purposes of communicating about this event. This permission will override any previous instruction you may have given us to “unsubscribe” your details from our database.

Filming and photography at event 
  • Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care wishes to use photographs, video footage, or other records of this event which may include images featuring you or members of your team. By taking part, you confirm that you grant Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care permission to use these images for any of its marketing purposes in all and any media, in their original format or edited or altered in any way which Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care thinks appropriate, and that you do not object to the storing and use of copies of the images.
Changes and last-minute arrangements  
  • In case of unforeseen circumstances Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care reserves the right to cancel this event at any time and your entry fee will be refunded.
