Beaconsfield Fashion Show Returns!

120 fashion fans gathered at Hall Barn last month for our fashion show with a difference- it featured only items of clothing that had been donated to our Reloved Boutique in Beaconsfield.

16 models, who all had a connection to the charity – including customers and shop volunteers – took to the catwalk wearing outfits that had been styled by Rennie Grove Peace volunteer and local stylist, Emma Lou.

This year’s fashion show was the third annual event. It was originally the brainchild of Christine Mallan – a member of the Beaconsfield Rennie Grove Peace Fundraising Group – and Lucy Jack, the manager of the Beaconsfield Reloved Boutique. The show was made possible by a team of volunteers from the shop who all volunteered their time to organise the event and make it run smoothly on the night.

All of the outfits that appeared on the catwalk were available for sale after the show. A total of £5,163 was raised through sales on the night.

Lucy Jack, manager of our Beaconsfield Reloved Boutique, says:

“The fashion show was a huge success that not only raised an incredible amount to fund local hospice care, but also shone a light on pre-loved fashion. The event took place during our month-long Sustainable September campaign which is all about encouraging people to visit our network of shops and pick up an item, a full outfit, or an accessory to add pre-loved fashion to their everyday wardrobe. We were so pleased to work with personal stylist, Emma Lou, who shared her expertise to show people how they can achieve catwalk looks by shopping for pre-loved fashion in our charity shops.

“I’d also like to thank Christine Mallan and all the Reloved Boutique volunteers for all their work in making the evening happen, as well as the local businesses and traders that supported the event on the night.”
