Our supporters raised £100,000!
Last night, 240 of our loyal corporate supporters attended our Question of Sport evening at Sopwell House to raise vital funds for local hospice care. We’re delighted to announce the night raised an astonishing £100,000.
We couldn’t put on this event without Geoff Shreeves and Kevin Luckhurst who dedicated their time to help us make Question of Sport an iconic event in the St Albans business community calendar! A huge thank you to Geoff and Kevin for all their support.
A story from Ben, Sales and Marketing Director at Origin
Ben Brocklesby addressed the room and spoke about the experience he and his family had with Rennie Grove Peace, after his dad received our care at home at the end of his life.
“On Friday 13 October, Dad died at home, surrounded by Mum and his four sons, just as he wanted. His final wish granted, at peace, pain-free.
“About two hours later, Natasha and Jo turned up for the evening visit and they went to get Dad ready for his last trip away from the family home.
“This magical sound came from Dad’s bedroom. We wandered in, and there was Natasha serenading Dad – it was the voice of an angel. It was magic and it was her final gift to my Dad.”
Natasha then performed to the room to a standing ovation. Thank you to both Natasha and Ben for sharing such a personal and special moment with us.
