We are delighted to share that Rennie Grove Peace Senior Community Sister, Fiona, has been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse. Fiona has been with the organisation for three years, and worked as a District Nurse prior to joining us.
The title of Queen’s Nurse is available to nurses who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice and we are delighted that Fiona has been recognised with the accolade.
Fiona’s application for the title required the submission of evidence, as well as feedback from patients, families and senior clinical team members. Fiona was also awarded the of Queen’s Student Nurse when at university.
Fiona said:
“I feel proud and honoured to have been awarded the title of a Queens Nurse as it was something I have wanted for a long time. I feel very privileged to have been recognised. Sadly it hasn’t been awarded to my whole team as it is such a fantastic group to work with, but I am delighted to have the title to my name.”
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) explains: “Queen’s Nurses are committed to learning, leadership and excellence in patient care”
Congratulations to Fiona from all of us at Rennie Grove Peace.
