Team Bereavement, listening and talking therapies

Likely hours 3 hours a month
Are you training to be a counsellor supervisor, or already qualified?
Our Bereavement, listening and talking therapies team work with patients and family members to offer the opportunity to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions around the experience of dealing with life-limiting illness and loss.
We have a number of qualified and trainee counsellors working with our patients and families, and we offer them regular supervision. This is a great opportunity to get experience in the area of palliative care and acquire valuable skills towards your own development.
Why volunteer with us?

Having a real impact Knowing you are helping to support our volunteers who are making a difference to our patients' lives when they need it the most.

Working for the community Supporting us to provide this service in the local community means your time and energy are harnessed for a good cause.

Developing and using your skills Using your skills to help both qualified and trainee counsellors to deliver the best care they can

Without the time our volunteers give to support all areas of our work, we couldn’t help all the families who need us. We have a wide range of volunteer roles with varying time commitments to suit people in different circumstances.
