Our van drivers travel to our 33 shops and 4 offices across Bucks and West Herts, making sure that our donations are moved between our shops, E-commerce centre and R&T hub. They are essential to making sure that we can maximise the income we get from the donations we receive.

Our van drivers and mates provide key support to our fast-moving retail environment, where no two days are the same. You will be volunteering with a friendly team to do the following:

  • as a driver you will be driving one of our fleet of Rennie Grove Peace charity vehicles
  • as a driver’s mate you will be out in the van with the driver, helping to pick up and deliver
  • delivering and collecting goods to and from the distribution centre in Berkhamsted
  • handling and moving donated clothes and items in bags and boxes

Why volunteer with us?

Making connections Helping people who are going through a difficult time gives enormous personal satisfaction, and there is great value in meeting people and making a connection at this time of life.

Having a real impact Making a difference to our patients’ lives, and helping those around then, when they need it the most.

Working for the community Helping families in the local community who need specialist hospice care means your time and energy is harnessed for a good cause.

"I am glad I volunteered and have enjoyed every minute of it."

Without the time our volunteers give to support all areas of our work, we couldn’t help all the families who need us. We have a wide range of volunteer roles with varying time commitments to suit people in different circumstances.
