Herts 10K, 5K and Fun Run – Terms and Conditions

I confirm that all children (aged under 16), will be accompanied by a responsible adult at the event. The Herts 10K is open to 14 years and over and the 5k is open to children 11 years and over. The Fun Run is open to any age but children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

I understand that the responsible adult must agree these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of their party.

I confirm that all members of my party are medically fit to take part in the event, and I have informed the event organisers of any pre-existing medical condition that may affect participation in this event as part of entry.

I understand that Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care will share information about medical conditions with their onsite third party first aid providers in order to ensure my health and safety at the event. Third party providers do not retain this information after the event.

If I have any pre-existing medical conditions, I will bring any necessary equipment on the day. I am responsible for my own equipment.

I understand that emergency contact and medical details will be deleted after the event.

This is a fundraising event for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Therefore, I confirm that all members of my party will make every effort to raise or exceed the suggested minimum sponsorship target of £37 for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice or to make a personal donation.

I acknowledge that all members of my party have a legal obligation to send on any funds raised directly to Rennie Grove Peace Hospice within 1 month of the event. Failure to do so is considered theft.

I acknowledge that once booked, the registration fees of my party are non-refundable. I also acknowledge that the registration fee covers the cost of staging the event and items such as a medal that I and my party will receive.

I understand that my place is non-transferable and as such must not be ‘given’ to anyone else to use.

I confirm all members of my party enter the event entirely at our own risk and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss which may suffer or incur as a result of our participation in this event – the charity has a comprehensive risk assessment process for each event which aims to minimise or eliminate the risk to everyone taking part.

I understand that the organisers reserve the right to alter arrangements and conditions (such as event start time and route) should circumstances require. In the unlikely event of severe weather which would cause the event to be postponed, the race organisers will notify you.
