“You really don’t appreciate what good hospice care is, or what it can do, until you need it yourself. Rennie Grove’s Hospice at Home nurses looked after Grahame at home during the last month or so of his life and I don’t know what we would have done without them.
“At such a horrendous time, the care and support they offered made things feel more bearable. I knew they were there to support us through whatever we faced, day or night.
“After Grahame died, I was able to access counselling support at Grove House in St Albans. This was hugely helpful to me and makes me grateful for the fact that Rennie Grove is not just there for the person with a life-limiting illness, but for their family and loved ones too.”
