Tring Midsummer Fun Run FAQ’s

If you have a question regarding the Fun Run which isn’t below then please contact Tring Running Club – funrun@tringrunningclub.org.uk

You can enter in advance on the Tring Fun Run webpage.  If you enter online then please go to the Number Registration desk on the day to pick up your number. The desk will be open from 3pm onwards, so you can either pop in during the afternoon if you are local, or you can register when you arrive for your run. For Pre-school run please enter on the day only.

Junior races take place on the cricket pitches while the senior/adult race (including years 10 to 13) is on roads and canal towpath. Each race will start promptly, so please make sure that you, or your child, are in place at the start line in time for their run.

For the adult/senior race please run in single file beside the canal and show courtesy towards other users of the tow path.  In the unlikely event that someone falls in, please get a message to a marshal as quickly as possible.  As it is important that runners are fully aware of others around them and are able to hear the marshals at all times, particularly at the road crossings, the organisers ask that you do not wear headphones.

Most entrants complete the 6km Fun Run in 50 minutes or less. This is a running event and participants are encouraged to run at least part of the route, although brisk walking is also allowed.  However, please note that recording times will stop after 60 minutes.

There is no parking at the cricket club and limited parking on the cricket field from Station Road.  Please avoid bringing your car or car-share if possible.  Parking is available in the public car parks on Tring High Street.

Refreshments and bar at the Cricket Pavilion plus the organisers also hope to have burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.  Water will be available throughout the afternoon, near the finish line.  Please help to cut down on waste by bringing your own cup or refillable bottle.

All children and adults taking part will receive a medal.

Please note that due to safeguarding issues, no results will be recorded or published for children’s races.

Results for the senior/adults run will be recorded and published on the TRC website.

Sorry, but dogs are NOT allowed on any of the runs nor on the cricket pitches.
